Mark has carefully designed and created 28 unique destination scented candles which all have the power to transport you through memories, experiences and smells. He chose destinations he had visited with his family over the years. Each destination holds special memories and experiences that Mark converted to scent. Aromaholiday candles transform the atmosphere with a variety of different smells from delicate floral scents to zesty citrus and earthy richness. AH Top Tips for Candle care
Here at AromaHoliday, we want you to get the most out of your candles, to have the full experience of what it’s like to be in the designated country that you have selected. To do this, we have listed some top tips for you to get the most out of your candles. Not only will these tips enhance your Aromaholiday experience but they also ensure that your candle burns for longer.
- We always advise that you are to trim the wicks of the candle before lighting to around ¼ of an inch (0.6cm) in length. A long wick can cause the candle to burn faster and produce more soot.
- It’s important to make sure to let the wax melt evenly. During the first burn, you want to ensure that the entire top layer melts evenly. This prevents the candle from tunnelling which is when the wax only melts in the center and leaves unused wax on the sides. Tunnelling a candle will reduce the overall burn time.
- A candle snuffer is great to use when extinguishing the flame of the candle instead of just blowing it out. Extinguishing a flame incorrectly can create smoke and disturb the wax pool which can then potentially shorten the burn time.
- We recommend not burning a candle for any more than 3-5 hours at a time. Excessive burning can cause the wick to become too long and the candle could then overheat, reducing its lifespan.
- Keeping a candle clean plays a huge part in keeping a longer burning time. Remove any debris or burnt wick trimmings from the wax pool to maintain a clean burn, as these can interfere with the flame and affect the performance.
