Jamie McDonald AKA Adventure-man's Guinness World Record Attempt?
A few weeks after finishing his 1 year epic Trans-US run a mere 5000+ miles! "Pride of Britain" Jamie McDonald (Gloucester's best loved son) is finally returning to his home city. Jamie plans to attempt the world record for the greatest distance run on a treadmill in one week. That record currently stands at 514 miles - therefore meaning Jamie needs to run more than three marathons a day, seven days straight, to beat it.
It's not the first time this Superhuman has placed his mind and body on the line for others. For example, his first adventure took him solo from Thailand to Gloucester (UK) on an old bicycle? Secondly, a solo run across the wilds of Canada, experiencing arctic conditions.
Double Record Holder!
In addition Jamie McDonald, is also the current World Record holder for the longest ever static bike ride, that is to say that he pedaled in one spot for a scarcely 268 hours, 32 minutes and 44 seconds!

Finally on a personal note, I have followed Jamie over the last few years, read his book which explains the shear determination of the Man. After spending years himself as a sick child, then deciding to give back helping others in extraordinary ways. I've laughed uncontrollably at his humorous journey moments! 842KM in 7 days...Amazing achievement, by a fantastic Human Being! Most importantly, he raised around £55,000 for the Superhero Foundation! I must add that we were blown away with the friendliness & kindness shown by all of Gloucester! Loved every moment.
